Compassionate therapy for mind-body health and healing
Chronic Pain
Pain is more than a physical sensation—it’s also an emotional experience. Whether it develops gradually, stems from an injury, or has no clear cause, chronic pain can shape your emotions, relationships, and overall quality of life.
In therapy, we use evidence-based approaches like Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain to help retrain the brain’s response to pain. We also explore the role of stress, sleep, and mood in your experience, equipping you with practical tools to manage and reduce pain while improving your well-being.
Life Transitions
Life is filled with turning points—some anticipated, others sudden—that stretch our capacity for adaptation. Whether you're navigating welcomed changes like graduations, moves, or new relationships, or facing unexpected shifts such as loss, burnout, or health challenges, transitions can stir uncertainty and emotional upheaval.
Therapy can help you identify the physical, emotional, and behavioral resources needed to meet these changes with resilience and clarity. Together, we’ll explore how to thrive—not just survive—as you move through what’s next.
Trauma
Trauma impacts us on every level—emotional, physical, relational—and can linger long after the initial event. Whether you're coping with a single incident or the cumulative effect of long-term adversity, trauma can disrupt your sense of safety, identity, and stability.
In therapy, we create a space that feels secure enough to begin healing. I use trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches tailored to your unique experience, including modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness. Together, we explore how trauma has shaped your responses and develop strategies to build resilience, restore agency, and reconnect with your inner strength.
Counseling for clarity, healing, and balance. Pain, health struggles, and trauma can throw us off course. When life feels unmanageable, counseling offers a path back to ease, resilience, and purpose.
I combine insight with action—helping you reconnect to what matters, strengthen your coping skills, and build equanimity: calm and steadiness, even in tough times.
My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and tailored to your story. I believe healing is within reach with the right support, meaningful steps, and self-compassion.
About Me
I was born and raised in New York City in a family with Texas roots. I moved to Austin in 2009 and began working in social services, which inspired me to attend UT’s Steve Hicks School of Social Work. I have been a licensed social worker since 2016 and worked in a variety of clinical settings, including the Austin State Hospital, Downtown Austin Community Court, and UT Health Austin. My professional work has been defined by the power of relationships to promote health and healing.
